This 9 day Uganda Rwanda Vacation starts in Uganda and ends in Rwanda’s Kigali city. Visit different tourist sites in Uganda and Rwanda. These include Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Volcanoes National Park
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our driver pick and transfer up to your hotel of residence for check in. Depending on arrival time, you may have a Kampala city tour visiting Uganda museum, Nakasero market, Kasubi tombs, and National theatre.
Day 2: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have early breakfast and after embark Safari jeep with our guide driving to western Uganda along the western wing of the Great Rift Valley. Including en route stopover at the Equator for brief explanation, snacks and photographs, you can also stop over at Mpigi -Mpambire drum village where you can be able to watch the ceremonial drums made out of local materials by locals.
After proceed with the journey and lunch is provided en route in Mbarara town and thereafter continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening. Check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game drive – Launch trip cruise.
Early morning after delicious breakfast, be in for the game drive along Kasenyi track for game viewing exposing you to different Wildlife species like Elephant, Warthog, Buffalo, and Lion.
After exciting game drive, return to the lodge for lunch as you get prepared for the 2 hours launch trip cruise along Kazinga Channel granting sighting opportunities of different aquatic species like Hippos, Crocodiles plus different bird species. After check in for Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Queen – Drive to Bwindi
After early breakfast, drive straight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector route. This area is known for the rare tree climbing lions. En route game drive in Ishasha is included. Have lunch and after proceed with your journey to Bwindi. You will reach in the evening. Check in at the lodge for Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Have breakfast in the morning and after gather at Buhoma sector offices for a briefing about how to behave while in Jungle and in presence of these apes usually done by Park officials. After you will set out with your packed lunch and penetrate the Jungle forest following well established trails to search for the rare Mountain Gorillas.
The time taken to track gorillas is unpredictable but usually depends on where these apes spent there last night. After locating them you are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour. After return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
After your morning breakfast, you will transfer straight to Lake Bunyonyi via Kabale a place which is popularly known as the Switzerland of Africa. You will do a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to various Islands on the Lake. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages or Bushara Island Camp.
Day 7: Transfer from Bwindi to Rwanda
Have breakfast and after you will drive to cross to Rwanda via Katuna Border and connect to Ruhengeri in North Western Rwanda. Have lunch en route and arrive at your Lodge, check in for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes
Have morning breakfast and after transfer to park offices for a briefing which is conducted to highlight trekkers on how to behave while in presence of Mountain Gorillas plus being assigned to a group.
After you will then start your trekking journey with ranger guide and armed officers in search of these apes. After locating these apes in the Jungles you are allowed to stay with the gorillas for one hour and then after return to the lodge in the afternoon for relaxation as you get prepared for a visit to the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Bulera.
Day 9: Golden Monkey Tracking – Transfer to Kigali.
Have morning breakfast, and after transfer to park offices or starting point for briefing from the rangers as you prepare you for Golden monkey tracking excursion.
Golden monkey primates are very rare and so in Rwanda are only found Volcanoes mostly in bamboo forested areas. After the tracking return back to the Lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will drive straight to Kigali for your return flight back home or if not you can check in at your hotel for overnight stay.
